St. Lawrence County Divorce Records

St. Lawrence County divorce records are official documents that contain information about the dissolution of a marital union processed by the County Supreme Court. These records are sealed for 100 years after being created per New York's Domestic Relations Law §235. Thus, they are only accessible to certain eligible persons, such as the parties involved and their attorneys.

In St. Lawrence County, eligible persons may view or request copies of divorce records through the County Clerk's office. They would need to provide the case's index number, the names of the parties involved, and valid photo ID to request these records. Requests may be made in person by visiting the County Clerk's office during its office hours or by completing and mailing the Divorce Request Form.
